This personal project was born out of a fascination with classical sculpture and a desire to reimagine it through a modern, minimal lens. I designed a mobile wallpaper and an accompanying poster using The Angel with the Cross by Ercole Ferrata, an iconic Roman statue, as the central visual.

The process involved taking a stock image of the sculpture and transforming it with bold color treatments, layered textures, and contemporary typography. The phrase CVIUS PRINCIPATVS was chosen to echo the historical weight of the piece, while elements like the hand drawn strokes and glowing cross added contrast and energy.

Created mainly using Adobe Photoshop, the challenge was in striking a balance between respect for the original form and freedom of creative reinterpretation. The result is a minimal yet vibrant composition that gives new life to a timeless figure, crafted to live on screens as well as walls.
